Bairnsdale Regional Health Service (BRHS) is seeking an Unaccredited Surgical Registrar for the 2027 clinical year.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your surgical skills within a supportive rural health service. Working as part of a team of Consultant Surgeons, Registrars and junior medical staff, you will gain broad experience across acute surgical admissions, inpatient management, perioperative care, theatre and outpatient services. You will benefit from a high level of clinical responsibility, dedicated supervision and regular education opportunities while contributing to the delivery of high-quality surgical care.

About you:
Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (or equivalent)
General Registration with the Medical Board of Australia
Minimum three years postgraduate clinical experience
Minimum 12 months surgical experience in Australia or equivalent overseas experience
Demonstrated commitment to surgical training and professional development
Strong clinical, communication and teamwork skills

We are a multifaceted and growing regional health system providing a comprehensive array of health care services to the East Gippsland community. The BRHS Medical Services Directorate is comprised of five clinical disciplines: Internal Medicine, General Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Rehabilitation Medicine, and Surgery; with a strong senior medical workforce enabling the provision of services across a broad spectrum of care.
