What this counts for

General surgery score 10/10
  • 8 weeks critical care rotation

Caution: A term can count as GS or critical care, not both.

Other General surgery jobs that count

Ophthalmology score 10/10
  • regional exposure
  • eighteen months non ophthalmology
  • two years fte prevocational

Caution: Regional points are all-or-nothing at 2.5: one adult year = 1.25 = zero; three years = 4. Contract must be >=12 months continuous per entry. Bonded schemes and rural scholarships score nothing.

Other Ophthalmology jobs that count

Plastic & reconstructive surgery score 10/10
  • 8 weeks PGY1+ ED or ICU

Caution: Plastics EXCLUDES trauma, burns, cardiothoracic and vascular unit terms from its ED/ICU requirement.

Other Plastic & reconstructive surgery jobs that count

Urology score 10/10
  • >=10 weeks ED at PGY1+

Other Urology jobs that count

Radiology score 10/10
  • recent acute clinical practice
  • regionality

Caution: Keep one of these in the last 12 months — NSW criteria explicitly require recent emergency care, after-hours rostered duties and procedural work.

Caution: Jurisdictions set the weight; regional employment counts as well as regional schooling.

Other Radiology jobs that count

ENT score 10/10
  • 8 consecutive FTE weeks in a dedicated ED

Caution: Must be a dedicated ED, 8 consecutive weeks.

Other ENT jobs that count

Emergency medicine score 9/10
  • 6 FTE months Regional/Rural/Remote (RRR)
  • 12 FTE months in non-Major Referral adult/mixed public EDs
  • 6 FTE months in a single ACEM Level 3+ ED

Other Emergency medicine jobs that count

Cardiothoracic surgery score 9/10
  • 12 months non-CT rotations

Caution: ICU, cardiology, respiratory, anaesthesia and ED are the ONLY acceptable non-surgical terms.

Other Cardiothoracic surgery jobs that count

Obstetrics & gynaecology score 5/10
  • non og clinical experience

Caution: Section 1.3 only scores if the non-O&G time is followed by >=12 months of O&G.

Other Obstetrics & gynaecology jobs that count
