About the Role:
Lyell McEwin Hospital is growing its cardiac electrophysiology capability, and the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) is seeking a skilled clinician to join the team as an Electrophysiology Fellow. This is a part-time, fixed-term contract position through to 1 February 2030 — an exceptional opportunity to deepen your subspecialty expertise within a public health network that serves one of Adelaide's most diverse and growing communities.
What You'll Be Doing
Performing and assisting with diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology procedures, including ablation and device implantation
Contributing to the management of complex arrhythmia patients across inpatient and outpatient settings at Lyell McEwin Hospital
Collaborating with the cardiology team on multidisciplinary care planning and clinical governance activities
Supporting the training and supervision of junior medical staff and registrars within the unit
What You'll Bring
Medical registration with AHPRA and fellowship of RACP or equivalent (or near completion)
Demonstrated experience in clinical cardiology with exposure to electrophysiology procedures
Understanding of SA Health clinical standards and public hospital environments
Strong commitment to patient-centred care and clinical safety
Effective communication and teamwork skills across multidisciplinary settings
Ability to work part-time hours within a structured rostering arrangement
To be eligible for this position, you must have
Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent
Obtained a Specialist Qualification and is registrable as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration.
As per the SA Health Salaried Medical Officers Enterprise Agreement 2025, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. Rotations following the initial 12 month allocation as Medical Practitioner will be determined in line with your training and SA Health’s requirements. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to classification, skills and capabilities.
The Total Indicative Remuneration figure is calculated taking into account base salary, leave loading and superannuation as well as managerial allowances, professional development or any other allowances where appropriate.
