ICU Registrar Positions 2027
Commencing 01/02/2027
Foundation/Elective CICM Training Program
College of Intensive care
Accredited with College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM)
10 bed ICU/CCU combined unit
Full-time 12-months contract with regular anaesthetic rostering
Part-time appointment can be negotiated if required
Excellent opportunity to prepare for CICM and ANZCA (QARTS) training pathways
The Opportunity
Accredited with CICM for foundation and elective training. You will be working within the hospital framework and be supported by the Director of ICU and Intensivists as you undertake your foundation/elective training.
12-month full-time temporary appointment
Regular rostered exposure to anaesthetics (10 hrs per FN)
Weekly departmental education sessions aiming to prepare for CICM/ANZCA primary exam
Regular teaching of procedural skills/ALS/SIM sessions
Regular presentations at departmental Meetings/M&M/Journal club and education sessions
Opportunity to do audits and research projects
About You
You will have excellent communication and an interest in providing high-quality private health care in a team-based environment.
You will have a genuine interest in pursuing a career in intensive care medicine (or Anaesthesiology) and be eligible to participate in the training requirements of the Foundation Training program for CICM trainees.
Selection Criteria
MUST Hold unconditional AHPRA Registration (Mandatory)
Minimum 3 years’ Medical Officer experience (PGY 4)
Desirable procedural skills (Arterial lines, Central lines, Vascath, Intubation, Airway skills)
Be available for flexible shift work over a 7-day roster (12-hour shifts)
Must complete BASIC, ACLS and APLS within first 4 months of appointment unless already completed within last 1 year (ACLS, APLS) or 2 year (BASIC)
Must hold additional private indemnity insurance (Ramsay will provide employee indemnity on top)
Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
