This is a recruitment for three (3) Fixed Term Full-Time appointments for 12 months commencing on 1 February 2027, with the possibility of extension(s).

Position Profile:

To provide a high quality, patient centred clinical service to hospital patients, working under the supervision of Department Consultants and more senior medical practitioners and within multi-disciplinary teams. To gain broad experience in anaesthetic practice to develop the skills and abilities of a specialist anaesthetist. You will review the medical and clinical needs of patients and provide teaching and support to Resident Medical Officers and Interns.

Whilst in the training scheme, trainees will be supervised in accordance with ANZCA requirements.

A detailed curriculum vitae (of no more than 4 A4 pages) including the names and contact details of 2 x referees. Your CV must provide a summary of your experience in the context of the advertised vacancy.

Applicants must have a minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience working in an Australian hospital.

Referees: It is preferable for your referee to be a current supervisor or manager.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, applicants found suitable for this position may be considered for other ‘similar’ vacancies within SMHS and/or the wider WA public sector. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
