I know that Sunshine Coast University Hospital, Bundaberg Hospital, Mackay Base Hospital, had PHO spots still available post recruitment this year for 2024 as of 20/10/23.

Overall, my long term goal is to return back to QLD and live regional/rural and with the new Bundaberg hospital project in swing, that's also enticing me to return back with my family, in place of Brisbane.
I’d also recommend Hervey Bay because the ophthal there was brilliant at teaching students.

I was a nurse prior and worked in Hervey Bay hospital for a bit and the nursing culture was not good at all (depending on the wards) .
Correct me if I'm wrong but it sounds like Hervey Bay has a much better work culture with the more engaged teaching/less locums.
