If you really wanted to get good clinical skills as a JMO, go to somewhere with mega-high volume, sick as shit people and low-ish supervision (eg: Blacktown, Nepean, Bankstown, Westmead, Livo).

Hi, I’m a Cat 2 NSW applicant from UQ and was most likely going to apply for Nepean Hospital for intern year as it is 10 minutes from where I will be staying.
From when I applied, some places are pretty transparent about priority for Anaes going to highest ranked candidate (POW/RNSH and I think Gosford), some said they will try and make it democratic (Nepean 3 mo) but idk how, maybe random ballot, and ofc you would know all 4 candidates in Nepean 6 mo are guaranteed a term…
