Port Macquarie is also known to be good for anaesthetics as an SRMO and registrar but difficult to get the 12 month anaesthetic jobs, but they do have a 6month/6month ICU/Anaesthetics job that is accredited.

I’d say food scene is VERY limited (nothing compared to Regional Victoria or Sunny Coast say) and reputable schools are also limited (a boss who worked in Coffs Harbour apparently relocated to Sunny Coast just for his kids schooling)
