I wondered if anyone had any experience of RMO jobs at greenslopes in Brisbane, especially regarding the rural placements.
Being in private it is unlikely a registrar would be there unless you were in hospital like greenslopes.

I’ve had a job offer for an RMO Medicine role at Greenslopes Private Hospital Brisbane.
If you go Southside, I think you are at a disadvantage getting an AT position for Cardiology if you aren’t placed at the PA for your tertiary time (as Mater and Greenslopes don’t have cardio AT positions) in terms of making contacts; whereas all 3 northern tertiary sites have cardiology positions.
If you're coming over for a fat cheque and like being able to leave on time, have weekends off to explore the country, have very protected teaching and direct contact with consultants, greenslopes is great.

Tbh that’s a bit of a rip off from Greenslopes, other private hospitals with fewer (usually ICU) registrars pay $250k per year for a pgy 3
