Call NWRH in Tasmania, and ask to speak to someone who hires new junior doctors.

I think our interns at RHH are way overworked compared to my old rural hospital NWRH, but I’m biased because I loved being an intern and RMO at NWRH and I haven’t actually been an RMO at RHH.

I ama non-BPT RMO at RHH and previously worked at NWRH; I’ve found both to be supportive workplaces, RHH is busier and more acute.

NWRH/MCH should organise 3-6 months of accommodation for new Interns/RMOs (email to check).

Burnie did offer subsidised accomodation two years ago for the first year of your stay; I am unsure if this continues.

I don’t know about relocation assistance, but a good hospital to start at as a junior doctor, to get your AMC registration supervision requirements done (and complete either the AMC exam or WBA pathway) is at North West Regional Hospital in Tasmania.

I found Burnie a great and supportive hospital to work at.

RHH should be your first pick, filled by LGH and any sane person would avoid NWRH/Mersey to intern at.
